Team practices can vary based on the athlete's specific team. Team practices are required and team practice schedules are set August 1st. Proper notice will be given to parents if practices are added. This will be at the coaches discretion.

Formal practice attire will be worn to all designated practices. Please do not tumble in loose-fitting t-shirts or shorts. This is a safety hazard to our instructors and to the athlete during spotting. Athletes must have on the correct practice attire and bows. Hair should be up and out of the athlete's face. Bows must be worn to every practice.

Uniforms are designed and produced exclusively for our program. Date and time for uniform fittings will be announced after evaluations. Athletes are to keep all Legacy Athletics uniforms (including bow and centers), practice wear, and warm ups in good condition. Please report any lost or damaged uniform items to your coach. The cost of replacement will be assigned to the athlete.
Athletes may wear any cheer shoes to practice, sneakers are not allowed. Athletes are required to wear their uniforms at competitions.

Tumbling classes are based on the athlete's skill level. Our coaching staff skill evaluates our athletes frequently throughout the season. If at any time you or your athlete feels they need to be reevaluated, please contact their tumbling coach.

All Star Cheer is a high energy, team-based, performance sport that is athletic, artistic and acrobatic. It involves athletes competing with a 2 and a 1/2 minute routine composed of tumbling, stunting, pyramids, dance and cheer segments.

All Star Cheer differs from traditional school cheer teams in that its primary purpose is competition, while school cheer involves crowd leading and other school roles, as well as the option for competition. All Star cheer teams are most often organized and based out of a club and have teams that are open to all area cheer athletes.

Novice: For individuals who are new to All Star but ready for performance-based teams that are evaluated at events. Novice teams focus on strengthening technique and performance skills that help prepare athletes for competitive All Star teams. Noncompetitive, Low commitment, only technique scored, levels 1-3 with restrictions, 1:30 routine.
Prep: For individuals with limited tumbling who want to strengthen technique and performance skills in a competitive team atmosphere. Prep teams typically require less time and cost commitments than are required of All Star Elite teams.
Elite: For individuals with strong cheer training and solid technical ability. Elite teams are composed of athletes who are ready for highly competitive performance levels.

Legacy Athletics competes at Maximum and other IEP Competition brands. Most competitions are within driving distances, NC, SC, and VA. Our goal is to receive bids throughout the season to attend The All Star Cheerleading Worlds Competition. Half Year Teams will compete at 4 competitions.
